Christmas Themed Gender Reveal Party + Baby Girl's Name! {5 on Friday}

I am doing something a little different for my Five today. It is going to be all about our Gender Reveal party! I knew before I was even pregnant that I wanted a gender reveal party! I absolutely love this fad, it is so much better than just calling or texting everyone. When I found out that we would be finding out around Christmas I thought it would be really fun to do a Christmas theme. It didn't turn out exactly as I hoped because I ran out of time and I really wish I would've got someone else to take pictures because I couldn't host, take pictures and enjoy the party at the same time. Overall we had a great time and it was the perfect way to announce our baby girl! {Get ready for picture overload}

1} These were the invitations my awesome sister-in-law made! She found some inspiration on Pinterest and winged it from there.

2} Everyone wore green (boy) or red (girl) necklaces to show what they thought Baby Stephens is!

We had a little section where people could jot down name suggestions while they waited. Some of them were pretty comical.

3} Since the party was kind of early we kept the food pretty simple with chicken salad sandwiches and little snacks.

My Grandma drew little bows & buttons on the gingerbread cookies, they were so cute.

We also had a hot chocolate section with marshmallows, mints & candy canes but this is the only picture I got and it wasn't even set up. Ugh fail. printable here

I made some Christmas Crunch popcorn {recipe here } and put it in some treat bags from Hobby Lobby with some tags I made for favors. Idk if everyone liked the popcorn but I thought they sure were cute!

This awesome elf print was also on the table (it's supposed to be framed but again I ran out of time). this printable found here

Everyone stuffing their faces while very impatiently patiently waiting for the reveal.

4} When everyone finally got there we pulled out our "present" that of course gave nothing away!

Waiting...waiting....

The pictures of us opening the present were extremely unflattering so you can just reference back to this post with the video here.
It's a girl!!!

 I also still had Lauren's chalkboard from our announcement pictures (so sorry Lauren bad friend alert) so my sister did some last minute scribbling for the old wives tales.
I am supposed to be pointing to girl but it kinda looks like boy. oh well.

And then here is just a cute bonus picture of Lauren getting some love from my sweet little nephew!

5} And now one more big announcement.. baby girl's name! I have had this name picked out for as long as I can remember. Well as soon as I got out of my Forrest & Jenny phase, but we won't talk about that. The first name is part of my Great Grandma & my cousin's (who is practically my sister) name and the middle name was my Mom's middle name. So her name is super packed with special meaning for us!

Our sweet girl's name is...

Oh I cannot wait to meet her!

  5. Christmas Themed Gender Reveal Party looks brilliant. Those cookies are mind blowing and I am going to copy some of these ideas into the baby shower that I and my sister are going to host for a cousin. Planning to reserve one of the New York venues for the bash because the home would be quite cluttered as the renovation is going to be started.
